While reading these podcast transcripts, I immediately found the main trend in common. They all spoke about education and knowledge, they each spoke about their experiences have shaped and influenced the lessons they have learned. A striking similarity between the podcasts was also that they all had used a unorthodox way of being pushed towards education, the teacher had used his martial arts training to help him in his teaching and the second man and the grandmother had both been exposed to negative situations. I enjoyed reading these podcasts because they were very in depth about the struggles some face on their route to learning and that although a person has not taken the traditional route of education does not make them uneducated.

Life is A Spiritual Struggle- I enjoyed reading this because I was interested in the teachers unconventional way of learning/teaching. He used his martial arts training to prepare himself for the struggles that come along with teaching in what some would call an at risk community and underprivileged students.
Admittance to A Better Life- This was also an interesting podcast because he spoke about his rough upbringing and the lifestyle he lived prior to striving for an education. He chose to leave his old lifestyle behind in order to gain knowledge and although he still considers himself a fighter he saw his battles as those of a more mental battle than the physical ones he fought in the streets.
This I Believe- In this podcast the woman writes about her grandmother. She begins by questioning what it means to be educated because of the experiences her grandmother had, she was from a small village and had no formal education. She had come from not be educated to being able to speak several languages and through her work has gained the lessons to pass onto those she encounters.
